Rebecca's paintings evolve through a messy, fearless, exploratory process of building up layers, scraping back, reworking and drawing into.

The initial layers are energetic, bold and suggestive.  The painting gradually evolves through quieter observation and a deeper understanding of her subject matter.  The finished painting is an unknown thing until 'that moment', when the relationships between subject, materials and process have found resolution.

Rebecca draws inspiration from her local environment; rural, coastal and industrial.
